Custom Tie Bars & Money Clips

Metal Memories Co. produces custom tie bars and money clips in copper and aluminum alloy at our own factory. Since 1984, buyers have chosen these functional accessories for executive gifts, retirement presentations, and golf tournaments — each piece struck, engraved, and finished to your logo.

Materials & Options

Both product lines are made in the same two metals:

  • Copper — the standard metal for colored work. It strikes with crisp detail, takes cloisonné and soft enamel cleanly, and gives tie bars and money clips a substantial feel.
  • Aluminum alloy — lighter than copper, suited to plain stamped tie bars and larger clip faces where weight matters.

Four coloring routes are available across both products: cloisonné, soft cloisonné, soft enamel, and without coloring. An uncolored tie bar or clip is finished as all-metal relief, with the logo raised against a polished field. Because both lines share the same metals and coloring methods, you can order a tie bar and a money clip from the same artwork as a matched executive set, quoted separately for each product.

Manufacturing Processes

Production begins with your logo. We cut a production die in-house, then stamp or die-cut each piece from copper or aluminum alloy sheet. Tie bars are struck flat with the logo centered on the bar; money clips are die-cut to shape, including custom shapes cut from your own outlines.

Coloring follows the same methods used across our metal product lines. Cloisonné and soft cloisonné set color within raised metal borders, with soft cloisonné giving the flatter, smoother field. Soft enamel fills recessed areas slightly below the surface for a dimensional finish. Pieces specified without coloring are polished straight after striking, leaving clean all-metal relief.

Engraving is used for flat engraved money clips, cutting the design into the metal face. Every piece is then polished, inspected against the approved sample, and packed for shipment. Samples are approved before mass production begins.

Popular Styles

Tie bar styles ordered most often:

  • Enamel colored tie bars — cloisonné or soft enamel color behind the logo, suited to corporate identity programs.
  • Plain stamped tie bars — all-metal relief with no coloring, the standard choice for executive and retirement gifts.
  • Logo on the bar designs — the company mark carried along the bar itself, common in corporate and uniform settings.

Money clip styles:

  • Flat engraved clips — the design cut into the metal face for a permanent, understated finish.
  • Enamel inlay clips — color set into the engraved face for visible branding.
  • Custom die-cut shapes — clips cut to the silhouette of your design rather than a standard rectangle.

Golf events and tournaments order both products as prizes and player gifts.

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for tie bars and money clips?

Minimums are set per product and per design; the current figure is [MOQ]. If you want the same logo on both a tie bar and a money clip, we confirm the minimum for each item when quoting.

What is the lead time for a custom order?

Lead time is confirmed with your quotation, typically [LEAD TIME] from sample approval to shipment. For tournament dates or retirement presentations, tell us the deadline in your inquiry and we reply within 24 hours with a workable schedule.

Can both products be made from the same logo?

Yes. Because both lines use the same metals and coloring methods, one design can run across tie bars and money clips as a matched set for executive gifts or retirement presentations.

Which finish works for a retirement gift?

Flat engraved or plain stamped pieces in uncolored all-metal relief are the traditional choice — restrained, permanent, and easy to engrave with a company mark. Enamel inlay or cloisonné color suits programs that want the branding more visible.
